As Swiber planned the construction of their drilling rig, a main goal was to save weight. At approximately 14,000 lbs. less than typical 250k single wireline units, Swiber chose DTI’s dual-grooved wireline tensioner design, the first of its kind to provide such significant weight-saving benefits.
