DTI Advantage: Decreased Weight

Proprietary design leads to considerable weight savings

Single Wireline

DTI has slimmed down the traditional single wireline riser tensioner to save weight and space without sacrificing capacity or functionality. Additionally, DTI’s wireline riser tensioners feature a true rating whereby load ranges are valued at mid-stroke versus when bottomed out, ultimately increasing overall tension capacity. These rugged wireline systems are ideal for all water depths and drilling applications.

  • 120k, 160k, 200k, 225k, 250k, 300k and 600k systems
  • 2,400, 3,000 and 3,500 psi
  • 12.5 foot stroke results in 50 feet of line travel

Dual Wireline

DTI introduced the world’s first dual wireline riser tensioner in 2005. Single and twin designs are available in 120k to 250k models. The 120k system is ideal for upgrades of existing 80k systems for deepwater, fitting conveniently into a traditional 80k envelope with only minor modifications.

The ultralight 250k dual wireline tensioner features dramatically reduced overall length in excess of 6 1/2 feet per component and cuts system weight to a mere 42,000 pounds, as much as 35,000 pounds less than competitors per tensioner. A typical rig outfitted with 12 each of 250k riser tensioners for a 3,000 kip system would save approximately 420k of light ship weight.
