Semi or Spar Applications
Ram-style
DTI Advantage: Stability
The position of the guide posts decreases the fatigue induced in the riser
The ram-style, or push-up, tensioner is comprised of a steel base frame that is designed to be attached to the lower deck of a semi or spar. The riser is seated on the tension deck which strokes and is guided via guide posts that are rigidly supported to the vessel. The tensioner is designed to withstand splash-zone loading.
- Load ranges to 2,000 kips
- Strokes from 25 to 45 feet
- Pressures up to 3,500 psi
Splash-zone Protected
DTI Advantage: Robustness
DTI’s ram-style, splash-zone protected tensioner is designed with consideration of projects that face severe weather and harsh environments. The tensioner is comprised of a steel base frame that is designed to be attached to the lower deck of a semi or spar. The riser is seated in a tension deck which strokes and is guided via guide posts that are rigidly supported to the vessel. The tensioner design completely encases the cylinder assembly to add a level of protection from environmental forces.
- Load ranges to 2,000 kips
- Strokes from 25 to 45 feet
- Pressures up to 3,500 psi
Direct-acting
DTI Advantage: Revolutionary
Long-stroke capability moves semis and spars to deeper water
DTI provides state-of-the-art direct-acting production tensioners that attach to the underside of the upper production deck. The tensioners are designed to be low-maintenance and utilized for remote areas and unmanned platforms as well as accommodate the high stroke requirements typical of semi-submersibles and spars in deep water.
- Load ranges to 2,000 kips
- Strokes from 25 to 45 feet
- Pressures up to 3,500 psi
