Songa Offshore 120k Wireline Tensioners

When it came time for Songa Offshore to upgrade its Saturn Drillship and enable it to operate in deeper water, the company selected DTI to provide the 120k dual wireline tensioners. By designing a system that uses two wirelines and dual-grooved sheaves, DTI was able to reduce the size of the entire tensioner and allow it to fit the existing 80k footprint, facilitating installation, and keeping the weight down.
