DTI’s revolutionary 50-foot stroke, direct-acting system provides the highest efficiency in riser tensioners offered today. The new, integrated tensioner assembly significantly reduces frictional losses by keeping the fluid confined to the cylinder. Efficiency is increased by more than 90% in comparison to traditional systems like the N-line, which has high frictional losses due to the long distance required for the fluid to travel. DTI’s direct-acting riser tensioner is designed to operate with one cylinder down.
